Annual July 4th Parade, 2017
The 2017 Fairways of Sherrill Park Annual July
4th Parade
was enjoyed by many neighbors on a
beautiful July morning, cooled by the prior night’s
rain. This annual neighborhood event has become a
rich tradition where neighbors join neighbors in
celebrating our nation’s independence.

The Parade happens because of neighbor volunteers, who
are much appreciated and thanked here for their time and
effort. This year the parade event was chaired by Natalie
Fritsche; the parade was led by long-time Grand Marshall
Larry Bassuk, bull horn in hand and music blaring from his
parade-leading vehicle; the Playground (what a great
playground it is) was festively decorated with patriotic
bunting and flags by Grace Laster and members of her
Playground Care Committee; water and Capri Suns were
shaved iceiced down and ready for marchers by Chris and
Kathryn
and festive island music; and last, but certainly not
least, were the City’s firemen arriving at noon to shower all
who decided it was worth the wait. Even though the crowd
lively time Kona Ice truck provided both refreshing multi-
flavored for the kids (and a few grown-ups) with their water
sprays and even their truck-side hose. The photos tell the
story.

Below is a small gallery of photos from the festivities. If you
attended, hope you enjoyed the event.
