The Fairways of Sherrill Park’s HOA's Annual Meeting is
quickly
approaching; it will be February 12th, 2:00p.m. at the
Renner Sub-
station.
During the meeting, one of the orders of business is the election
of Board members. Traditionally this has been facilitated by the
HOA mailing a proxy form to allow a homeowner to mail in their
selections (or you can vote in person at the Annual meeting). New
Texas legislation now requires HOAs to offer electronic voting for
Board elections, in addition to mailing the proxy/ballot and
Annual
Meeting Announcements. So you now have a choice... either fill out
and return the paper proxy/ballot you received in the mail,
OR you
can click
here, complete the form and submit your proxy/ballot
online.
While voting online has made voting easier,
we want you to
come
to the Annual meeting so you'll be able to meet the
candidates and get caught up on current events in the Fairways of
Sherrill Park. We will also have a $50.00 door prize.

We look forward to seeing you on February 12th.

Summary of Recommendations of the 2011 Planning Committee
The Planning Committee notes the most important issues facing our community in the next few years are likely to be:
    1)        Development along the Renner Rd/GBush Fwy (US-190) strip from Jupiter Rd to Central Expwy (US-75) – especially
along Wyndham Ln north of Renner.
    2)        Increased crime (increased from near-zero), which should be expected as a result of the above development.
    3)        The Planning Committee also notes the following ongoing developments:
    a)        Recent development of the HOA web site and continued enhancement going forward.
    b)        Neighborhood cohesion and general enjoyment of our community by all of our neighbors.
    c)        Adoption of the principle of "Do No Harm" in determining when and how the Association should take action.

An increasing number of homeowners are installing high-tech surveillance camera systems along with their home alarms and
the result is paying off for police.

Neighborhood Crime Watch Patrols (Update...)
You may notice vehicles with Crime Watch Patrol signs on them slowly cruising our streets and alleys.  Several of our
neighbors have volunteered to patrol our neighborhood in an effort to discourage criminals from coming into our
neighborhood.  If you have an open garage door you may receive a courtesy call to let you know that it is open.  50% of the
burglaries in Richardson are due to open garage doors.  This is an "open invitation" for the bad guys to steal from you.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, click here for an online application.
Richardson Police Department Drugs and Crime Tip Hotline.
The COR Police Department has an anonymous tip line which you can call 24 hours a day to report suspicious drug and crime
activity.  You can call 972-907-TIPS and explain the activity you are reporting in as much detail as possible.  Police officers
follow up with the information left and take the appropriate enforcement steps.  For more information about the program or
to email the police department a concern you can visit the Drugs and Crime Tip Hotline website. Also see our HOA Home page
for a Quicklink to the website.
Solicitor's Permit.
Here is a copy of the official City of Richardson solicitors permit.  It must be signed by Chief Spivey or Chief Bonner;one
original signed permit per solicitor. No copies; it can't be in their bosses car. They must show it to you!
Trash Reminder.
Our pick up days for trash pick up are Tuesday and Friday.  Please do not put your trash out the night before pick up or leave it
out if you miss your pick up.   Animals get into it and leave garbage all over the neighborhood.  If you see these violations call
Neighborhood Services at 972-744-4166.  You do not have to leave your name.  Let's do our part and keep our
neighborhood clean. Phone number also posted on Home Page under City of Richardson Quick Links.
Neighborhood Referral List
In addition to the HOA Directory coming online, the Neighborhood Referrals Listing is now also available for both viewing and
submitting referral information. Our HOA members can now share their experiences with the vendors engaged for work in and
around their homes. Many of our neighbors are updating their homes and many have regular services provided, such as
landscaping, mowing, pest control, etc.  Names of good contractors would be a help to all of us.

Members have two ways to use this page:
    1. Complete the Referral Form to submit information, or
    2. Click on the PDF to view your neighbors' recommendations.

Let's all pitch in and share this valuable information.
